We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract with Mercator Ocean International to help with their communication activities for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS). Having had ample experience in communicating about the Copernicus services implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), we look forward to helping Mercator plan and execute their online communication activities. We will be writing and editing a range of articles, producing social media content and working on multimedia content for the main CMEMS portal as well as producing educational explainer pages on ocean monitoring and ocean phenomena.
Copernicus is the European Union’s flagship Earth observation programme that is implemented through six services including Land, Marine Environment, Atmosphere, Climate Change, Emergency Management, and Security. The data collected by Copernicus enables stakeholders ranging from scientists and policymakers to businesses and the general public to better understand the Earth system, as well as the impact of human activities on it, in order to ensure a healthy planet for future generations.
For this contract we will be coordinating with HBI Helga Bailey, who will be in charge of the press activities, Eau de Web who will take care of web development. Together we will help raise awareness of ocean health and how it affects our planet.
